It is the result of a long series of operations to create two striking guilloched patterns: the border is embossed with a ‘rice kernel’ design while the central part bears waves in a radial pattern. This creates the magical effect of moonbeams reflecting on the silver waves of its dial.

The movement
The self-winding movement - embossed ‘Philip Zepter’ - is mounted on ball bearings and shows the exact hour, minute, and second in the centre of the watch and the date at the 6 o’clock position. If the model is equipped with a power reserve indicator the date is situated at the 3 o’clock position.

The buckle
Philip Zepter has dedicated special attention to the buckle, aware of the fact that it is an important part of the watch and not a mere accessory. The buckle for the La Luna is the deployant type and was created through long research and tests. It consists of a pivoting element that is affixed to the watch strap on one side while sliding on the other to allow proper adjustment. The innovation is in the ease of adjustment. With Philip Zepter’s buckle it just takes a few seconds to find the most comfortable position. The buckle is made of hypoallergenic steel or in a gold plated version, and bears the Philip Zepter logo on the clasp.

Great watch with beautiful details
A great watch is often recognised by the small details that best represent the care taken in its craftsmanship. You cannot miss the refinement in the La Luna’s workmanship. Take, for example, the expertly applied border separating the date window from the rest of the dial. Or the hands, the classic blue Breguet, the symbol of the highest watch-making tradition.

The ETA 2824-2 and Eta 2892-2 complemented with the spring reserve are the most renowned calibres in production today. This self-winding movement is mounted on ball bearings, with 25 rubies and an overall diameter of 25.6mm, and a thickness of 5.2mm. The balance wheel, protected by the Incabloc shock-proofing system, has a cycle of 28,800 oscillations an hour and the spring capacity is approximately 48 hours. This movement provides further confirmation of the skills of the Philip Zepter master watchmakers, in whose workshop every detail is refined and checked.

Highly skilled workmanship
Philip Zepter selects only the best. Here he has chosen a sapphire crystal, nearly as hard as diamond, to protect the dial and assure maximum transparency and scratch resistance. Highly skilled workmanship is required to make it fit the bezel and, in particular, to give it a rounded shape that picks up and continues the line of the case.
